Hema Shah

I am an economics Ph.D. candidate at Duke University. I received my B.A. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Virginia. 

I am an applied microeconomist with interests in labor economics and the economics of education. My research studies the role of family and school investments in shaping children’s development and later life trajectories. 

I am on the 2025-2026 job market.
